  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder Ensure freshness for best results.
  • 1 tsp Ground Nutmeg Can substitute with extra cinnamon.
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon Best when used fresh.
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger Omit for a milder flavor.
  • 1 pinch Salt Enhances sweetness.
  • 3/4 cup White Sugar Coconut sugar can be a healthier alternative.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Opt for pure vanilla for best flavor.
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract Optional for a nutty flavor.
  • 1 tsp Zest of 1 Orange Highly recommended for citrus notes.
  • 1/4 cup Melted Coconut Oil Vegan butter is a good substitute.
For the Vanilla Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Melted Coconut Oil Light vegetable oil can be used.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp Dairy-Free Milk Adjust to preferred consistency.
  • 1 cup Icing Sugar
For the Buttercream
  • 1/2 cup Dairy-Free Butter Choose your favorite brand.
  • 2 cups Icing Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tbsp Dairy-Free Milk Adjust until pipeable.
  • 2 drops Green Food Coloring For festive decoration.
  • Sprinkles or Mini Red Candies Optional decoration.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease doughnut pans.
  2. Combine dairy-free milk with apple cider vinegar and let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.
  4. Mix white sugar, milk mixture, vanilla and almond extract, and melted coconut oil until smooth.
  5. Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mixing gently.
  6. Fill doughnut pans halfway with batter and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Let doughnuts cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted coconut oil, vanilla, dairy-free milk, and icing sugar for the glaze.
  9. Dip the tops of cooled doughnuts in the vanilla glaze and allow excess to drip off.
  10. Beat together dairy-free butter and icing sugar for the buttercream, then add vanilla and dairy-free milk until smooth.
  11. Pipe buttercream on doughnuts and decorate with sprinkles or red candies as desired.
