Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Crumble the polenta into a 9x9 casserole dish and press it into an even layer.
- Bake the polenta in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until slightly set.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Add taco seasoning, black beans, and diced green chilis, stirring until well combined.
- Remove the baked polenta from the oven and spread the beef mixture over it evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef mixture.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy with fresh toppings.
