  • 1/2 cup Agave Nectar Can be replaced with honey or simple syrup
  • 3-5 slices Jalapeño Slices Adjust for spice level
  • 1/4 cup Orange Liqueur Optional
  • 2 cups Ice Cubes Add just before serving

Preparation Steps
  1. Infuse the tequila by slicing fresh jalapeños and placing them in a bottle of tequila. Seal tightly and refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the infused tequila, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar. Add orange liqueur if desired, and stir for 30 seconds.
  3. Prepare serving glasses by rimming them with salt using a lime wedge.
  4. Fill rimmed glasses with ice just before serving. Pour the margarita mixture, filling glasses three-quarters full.
  5. Let the margarita sit for 10 minutes to mellow the spice, and garnish with lime wedges and jalapeño slices.
