Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil 2 cups of filtered water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat, add dried hibiscus flowers and culinary lavender, cover and steep for 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the brewed tea through a fine mesh strainer into a heat-proof pitcher.
  4. Stir in honey or simple syrup while the tea base is still warm.
  5. Mix in 1 cup of cold water and fresh lemon juice, stir well.
  6. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the tea over the ice.
  7. Garnish with lemon wheels or mint sprigs and serve immediately.
