  • 2 1/4 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast Fresh
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Brown sugar recommended
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree Pure and unsweetened
  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour Gluten-free blend can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice Or substitute with cinnamon and nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Eggs Room temperature
  • 1/4 cup Butter Softened and melted
For the Filling
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
For the Frosting
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1/4 cup Butter Softened
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar Sifted

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Activate Yeast: Warm milk to 100-110°F, stir in sugar, sprinkle yeast, and let sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Prepare Dough: Combine flour, sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice, and ground cinnamon in a stand mixer. Add yeast mixture, eggs, butter, and pumpkin puree; mix until smooth.
  3. First Rise: Shape dough into a ball, place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour.
  4. Shape Rolls: Roll dough into a rectangle, brush with butter, sprinkle with filling, roll tightly, and cut into 12 rolls.
  5. Second Rise: Place rolls in greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F, bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Frosting: Beat cream cheese, butter, pumpkin puree, vanilla, ground cinnamon, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Ice Rolls: Spread frosting over warm rolls and serve.
