  • 1 large Egg For the egg wash.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the Puff Pastry by unrolling it on parchment paper and smoothing out creases.
  2. Spread Fig Preserves evenly across the puff pastry, leaving about one inch of space along edges.
  3. Add crumbled Goat Cheese, sprinkle Light Brown Sugar, and Fresh Thyme over the preserves.
  4. Roll the pastry tightly into a log shape and wrap it in parchment paper; freeze for 20 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while the pastry chills.
  6. Slice the rolled pastry into ½ inch thick pinwheels.
  7. Arrange the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden color.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm, optionally garnished with brown sugar and thyme.
