Preparation Steps
  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together bread flour and salt. Gradually pour in yeast mixture, stirring until shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Shape dough into a ball, coat with olive oil, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F, placing a pizza stone inside if using.
  6. Once risen, punch down gently, transfer to a floured surface, and roll out into a 12-inch circle.
  7. Spread pizza sauce over dough, sprinkle mozzarella, and layer with pepperoni.
  8. Add dollops of ricotta, sprinkle with Parmesan and sea salt.
  9. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from oven, drizzle with hot honey, and sprinkle fresh basil before slicing.
