Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by hard boiling your eggs. Place them in a pot and cover with water, bringing it to a gentle boil over medium heat. Once boiling, cover the pot, remove from heat, and let them sit for 12 minutes. After cooking, transfer the eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes to cool down.
  2. Once the eggs are cool, gently tap them on the countertop to crack the shell, then peel under cold running water for easier removal. Carefully slice each egg in half lengthwise using a sharp knife.
  3. On the bottom half of each egg, place a small leaf of lettuce, followed by a slice of Roma tomato, a quarter piece of cheddar cheese, and a piece of cooked thick-cut bacon.
  4. On top of the bacon, add a small squirt of mustard and a dollop of mayonnaise to each bite.
  5. Carefully place the top half of each egg back onto the assembled bottom half. To secure everything in place, insert a toothpick through the center of each bite.
  6. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper on top of each bite to enhance the overall flavors.
  7. Feel free to serve the Hard Boiled Egg BLT Bites immediately for the best freshness. If you have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator for up to a day.
