Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Spiced Apple Butter Loaf
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. Whisk until well blended.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth. Stir in apple butter and buttermilk.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 loaf pan. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. In a bowl, cream together butter and icing sugar until crumbly. Add cream cheese and apple butter. Beat until smooth.
