  • 1 cup Whole Milk Almond milk is a great substitute for dairy-free.
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar Substitute with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Pure vanilla extract is best.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Optional, can use lime juice.

  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries Can use frozen if fresh aren't available.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced fresh strawberries with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and let them sit for about 30 minutes.
  2. Separate half of the strawberries and puree until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, and remaining sugar. Add vanilla extract and lemon juice, mixing until dissolved.
  4. Gently fold in the pureed strawberries and remaining chunky strawberries.
  5. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Scoop the mixture into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
