Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the shredded chicken, chopped bacon, frozen hash browns, broccoli florets, diced onion, and sliced mushrooms in a large casserole dish.
  3. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of ghee over medium-high heat. Then, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add in the coconut cream, chicken broth, almond milk, Dijon mustard, and your choice of spices to the skillet, stirring everything to combine smoothly.
  5. Dissolve 2 tablespoons of arrowroot flour in a splash of water to create a slurry, then gradually add it to the sauce, whisking continuously until thickened.
  6. Pour the thickened sauce evenly over the casserole mixture and gently stir everything to coat with the creamy sauce.
  7. Transfer the casserole to the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
