- Soak the raisins in warm water for 30 minutes to plump them up.
- In a mixing bowl, sift 3 cups of flour and add dry ingredients; whisk together.
- Gradually mix in lukewarm water until dough forms.
- Add butter cubes to dough one at a time, mixing until incorporated.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
