Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry and arrange them on the baking sheet without touching.
  3. Mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create the spice blend, then rub it onto the drumsticks.
  4. Bake the drumsticks in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until golden.
  5. Mix the barbecue sauce with olive oil and brown sugar, whisking until combined.
  6. After 25 minutes, brush the drumsticks with the barbecue sauce mixture and return to the oven.
  7. Continue baking for another 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Let the drumsticks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
